She specialises in exercise support, prescriptive exercise progression, and hands-on treatments, including lymphatic drainage, trigger-point therapy, massage, and cancer recovery support. Her expertise lies in combining rehabilitation, strength training, and therapeutic techniques to create a complete, individualised pathway for recovery and long-term health.

At Kate Campbell Fitness, Move Well Therapy offers a holistic and personal approach to movement and wellbeing. It’s ideal for anyone who:

  • Is recovering from injury or surgery

  • Needs support before an operation (prehab)

  • Wants to improve mobility, balance, or strength

  • Needs gentle, structured support while managing pain or chronic conditions

Through tailored assessments and treatment plans, Shannon helps you move more freely, manage discomfort, and rebuild confidence in your body.

To keep you progressing beyond the gym, you can even video your exercises during sessions, giving you the tools and confidence to continue strengthening and recovering independently at home.

After an initial consultation, our expert therapist, Shannon, will assess your needs and develop a personalised plan. This program seamlessly combines tailored manual therapy (massage techniques) with a customised progressive exercise plan to optimise your strength progression.

Over the course of 8 one-to-one sessions, you will also have access to our gym facilities, helping you to take control of your recovery independently.

  • Prehabilitation, also referred to as prehab, is an increasingly popular approach to speed recovery times and reduce the risk of future injury.

If you are awaiting an operation, training your body to be strong and mobile beforehand can aid in recovery.

By working with us, you’ll focus on flexibility, strength, and power, providing you with the opportunity to safely return to your daily routines soon after surgery.

  • Rehabilitation is a crucial part of recovery as it helps restore movement and strength in the affected area while also reducing pain and swelling.

It facilitates a gradual reintroduction to exercise or sporting activities without risking further injury.

With proper rehabilitative care, you can return to full physical capabilities with minimal risk of re-injury.

  • Lymph drainage massage offers numerous benefits, including reducing fluid retention and promoting overall lymphatic health.

However, finding a qualified therapist can be challenging in this area.

That's why Shannon provides this specialised service, ensuring support for those in need, especially after surgery.

Ideal for our postnatal caesarean section mums.

  • Sports Therapy has its origin in Sport massage and Physiotherapy. It uses combination of manual therapies to treat musculoskeletal conditions.

This is not limited to sports injuries; it extends to back pain and joint issues.

Fantastic for our mums-to-be and new mums.

Sports Therapists offer pain clinics to help with muscular problems that can come from work, sport, or everyday life.

  • Massage therapy is often seen as a luxury, but if you stop and really think about it, massage should be included as part of your wellness program to alleviate tension, reduce stress, aid recovery, and support exercise progression.

Here are just some of the benefits:

    • Massage can help increase joint mobility.

    • Helps promote relaxation and the reduction of stress.

    • Massage helps to reduce pain by the release of endorphins

    • It helps break down scar tissue and decreases inflammation, which can help restore range of motion to stiff joints.

    • Improved circulation to the skin, increasing nutrition to the cells and encouraging cell regeneration - this is so important post C/S

Case Study: Lucy who’s a dancer was having difficulty sleeping due to back and neck pain. Shannon performed myofascial release, deep massage and trigger point therapy. She walked out floating!

The Benefits of Massage

Massage therapy is often seen as a luxury; however, when you take a moment to reflect, it should be an essential part of your wellness program to prevent and reduce tension, alleviate stress, and promote recovery.

Massage therapy offers numerous benefits that can enhance your overall health and fitness routine. It increases joint mobility and flexibility, allowing for better movements during workouts. The relaxation it provides reduces stress and anxiety, enhancing your overall performance and recovery. By releasing endorphins, massage alleviates pain and discomfort, while breaking down scar tissue and decreasing inflammation restores natural function.

Improved circulation boosts nutrient flow and cell regeneration, and it helps relieve muscle tightness and spasms. Ultimately, incorporating massage enhances your well-being and self-esteem, promoting a positive body image as you pursue your fitness goals.

Incorporating regular massage into your routine can significantly support your fitness goals and overall health!

What is Sports Therapy?

Sports Therapy originated from sports massage and physiotherapy, using manual therapies to treat musculoskeletal conditions. It addresses not only sports injuries but also back pain and joint issues. Sports Therapists provide pain clinics for muscular problems arising from work, sports, or daily life.

How can Sports Therapy benefit clients at Kate Campbell Fitness?

Are you dealing with persistent pain, like upper back discomfort from working at a laptop, or issues from a rolled ankle? Do you suffer from Sciatica, Plantar Fasciitis, or need support with joint movement as an older adult? Are you a pregnant woman or new mum facing wrist, back, or hip pain?

Sports therapy can address these issues and more. Using various techniques, it effectively aids in pain management and exercise prescription for muscular problems.

What to Expect

During your appointment, Shannon will conduct a posture assessment and apply any manual treatments that may be beneficial for your condition. These treatments can include sports massage, trigger point therapy, peripheral joint mobilisations, soft tissue mobilisations and releases, as well as muscle energy techniques.
