MEET NICOLA – A Full Circle Moment, 7 Years On 

Sometimes life brings people back just when they’re ready to restart, and that’s exactly what happened with Nicola.

Over seven years ago, Nicola trained with me at my old Lodgemoor studio and fast forward to today, she returned, joining Empower Bootcamp for 12 weeks and what a return it’s been! Not only has she made amazing progress, but she’s now part of our a great group who continue to train together in the park, long after bootcamp has ended. That’s the kind of commitment I absolutely love. 

“I’m really proud that I was able to lose weight during bootcamp, just over a stone in total! Attending both sessions helped motivate me to try really hard with my diet.”

Nicola signed up to lose weight, and not only did she achieve that goal, but she also rekindled her love for movement, learned about nutrition, and created memories with her family along the way.

“Kate was wonderful, highly motivating, and I loved listening to her talk about nutrition and fitness while we were exercising. The group of ladies was fantastic, and exercising in the park with an amazing view was perfect!”

Even better? The healthy habits started to ripple out into her home life too.

“The Bootcamp encouraged my family to enjoy evenings out in the park. My children enjoyed playing with friends or joining in with the exercises. It’s been a positive experience for the whole family”

Nicola's bootcamp journey started with a desire to lose weight, but she gained much more along the way. She achieved progressive fitness, took ownership of her diet, and found a strong support system. In September, she will begin a free personal training program that she won, which will help her continue to make progress and grow stronger.

“Tracking what I was eating and weighing food at the start really helped. It enabled me to see where I needed to add more protein or reduce portion sizes. I still have a lot to learn about this!”

And that’s what Empower is all about, meeting you where you are, and walking alongside you, no matter where your starting point is.

“The exercises were progressive, so I definitely felt my fitness improve over the 12 weeks. It helped me take ownership of my exercise and diet.”

Bootcamp follow-up. Sept - October

After attending bootcamp, Nicola joined me and the team in the Gym for Focus on Change, a Personal training starter experience which includes two 1-2-1 PT sessions with access to the gym and classes to enhance results. AND WOW did Nicola do well.

In just one month, she dropped 7lb, lost 12cm, and reduced body fat by 1.53%. What an inspiration.
